Our Mission
BatesStamp.com exists to give attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals a fast, free, and completely private way to add Bates numbers and exhibit stamps to PDF documents — without uploading sensitive files to any server.
About This Tool
BatesStamp.com was built out of frustration with expensive, clunky document management software that charged subscription fees for what is ultimately a simple stamping task. Solo practitioners and smaller firms shouldn't have to pay for enterprise software just to number discovery documents.
The tool processes everything directly in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDFs never leave your device — there is no backend, no cloud storage, and no server to breach.
🔒 Your documents are processed 100% locally. No files are uploaded. No data is stored. Works offline once the page loads.
What You Can Do
Bates Numbering
Add sequential Bates numbers with custom prefix, starting number, padding, and position.
Exhibit Stamps
Add exhibit labels (Plaintiff's Exhibit A, Defendant's Exhibit 1, etc.) to your documents.
Confidentiality Notices
Stamp CONFIDENTIAL, ATTORNEY EYES ONLY, or custom text on every page.
Full Customization
Choose font size, color, position, and opacity for each stamp type independently.
